I just created my domain in heliohost and i'm triyin to connect with a database from visual basic 2008 but i'm having some issues... what i did:I create the Db.I set the user.I set the permissions. I'm not sure (at all) if I set correctly the sql remote host... What i want is connect with the Db within the server from Visual Basic 2008 in order to finish my program. If you're doing it for somekind of software and let the application check it than please do not do thisvisual basic is really simple to de-obfuscate - decrypt and decompileon this way the users can easily get the database informationI would suggest you using for EVERY important stealable setting/connection to use the check with php and make an httpwebrequest to the page (way more secure) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
