Keyan Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 My house seems to be in a nameserver dead spot and I have waited over 36 hours now and my domain still does not direct me to heliohost (It works fine for everyone else I've asked). Is there an alternative way to view my site being hosted by heliohost? The friend who recommended the service to me told me to try "<username>.heliohost.org/<website url>". I have tried with one of his sites and indeed the method worked for him, but it does not for me. So is there an alternative way for me to view my site?
Ice IT Support Posted August 27, 2013 Posted August 27, 2013 The only way that method would work for him is if he has <username>.heliohost.org set as his main domain, and directories with the website URL as the directory name created in public_html, along with parked/addon domains pointed to those directories. Your best chance is through an HTTP proxy or VPN. I recommend https://www.portproxy.net/ as a free HTTP proxy or https://www.pptpvpn.biz/ as a free VPN.
