cmart6780 Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 Hello, First let me say thank you so much for providing this awesome service! I truly appreciate it. I've been teaching myself a lot more, because of the flexibility I have, that other free services do not provide. I am on server Johnny, and it has gone down several times in the last 24 hours, and I've noticed that the others aren't going down along with server Johnny. I was wondering if this is typical with this particular server, or if maybe maintenance is being done? I am by no means complaining. I am very greatful for this service you have provided to me. I was just wondering if your other servers are typically more stable, and if it's possible to transfer, if that is the case? I am perfectly fine with the server I am on if this is not feasible. I use mySQL and PHP mainly. And regardless of everything I've just said, if this is scheduled downtime, will it be back up tonight?. Lastly, is there a specific place where scheduled downtime is noted Thanks for your time, Chuck
Byron Posted July 22, 2013 Posted July 22, 2013 If your not using Ruby on Rails, Java, or ASP.NET then you really should be on the Stevie server. Much more stable.
cmart6780 Posted July 22, 2013 Author Posted July 22, 2013 Thanks. I just looked at the wiki regarding transferring accounts. Is it ok if I queue a new account all together? This way I could request this account to be deleted after the new account was setup, which would eliminate any downtime.
Byron Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 Yeah go ahead. If you have any problems creating a new account, let me know and I'll take care of it.
cmart6780 Posted July 23, 2013 Author Posted July 23, 2013 The daily sign-up limits have been reached. I didn't try until now, so I'll try earlier tomorrow morning.
cmart6780 Posted July 26, 2013 Author Posted July 26, 2013 I can't get to the sign-up form fast enough. Every time I do, the account limit is reached for Stevie's server. Is there any way I could please pre-register for stevie's server?
Byron Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 This page should help you to sign up. Gives you a countdown to new sign ups: http://byrondallas.heliohost.org/helio/sign-up.php
cmart6780 Posted July 27, 2013 Author Posted July 27, 2013 Alright, thanks. That's 3 am so gonna try to have a friend do it for me.
