HelioHost Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Heliohost is currently experiencing a DNS issue on our main domain http://heliohost.org/ and http://johnny.heliohost.org/ Attempting to access these domains by name will most likely result in a server not found error for most people. We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it. All user DNS data seems to be intact, and our forums http://helionet.org/ are working fine. If your account is located on johnny you can reach your cPanel by using this link http://64.62.211.131:2082/ since the server is online and fully functional. We apologize for any inconvenience this unexpected downtime has caused you.
ethanh Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Is it possible that Stevie DNS is also down? My website on Stevie says server not found, however I can still access cPanel from https://stevie.heliohost.org:2083
Ice IT Support Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Stevie DNS is currently operating as expected. Try clearing your cache.
stgeorge Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 @Ice IT SupportUnfortunately Stevie is not working as expected see:http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/14185-dns-issues/page__view__findpost__p__86117 Monitoring of Stevie over the last 24 hours shows it spends more time down than up and this has nothing to do with Cache. E-mail Clients constantly report failure to connect.Google notifications failure to connect.HostTracker notifications failure to connect. http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/It's not just you! http://xxxxxxx.co.uk looks down from here. http://www.intodns.com/heliohost.orgDNS servers responded ERROR: One or more of your nameservers did not respond:The ones that did not respond are:64.62.211.133 I could go On! Would be nice to know if this is all down to cPanel security fixes. The reason why is that if it is, I personally would think it best to get sites onto another server as fixing broken cPanel updates can take days or even weeks.
