[Answered] How Can I Reduce 500 Errors?

Hello,

whenever I open phpmyadmin I get a 500 error on my site can I prevent this?

Probably has to do with MySQL being down, would be nice to know your server for reference sake.

This is due to a process limit on accounts, 500 errors are commonly caused after logging into cPanel, or having phpMyAdmin open.

Hmm.. How exactly does that work? A couple weeks ago I was working on a simple php login and had pMA open, inputting test data, had cPanel open on three tabs, main index, file manager and file editor, working on the actual code and was able to see the login form and results pages without getting that. Have we checked to see if there's a common script installed on the users who report this to see if that's the cause?

Well,if I open phpmyadmin then check my site,it results in a 500 error.

When I open cPanel/pMa and reload my site immediately after that, I receive a 500 error. If I wait for about 5 minutes with no activity on cpanel/pMa and reload my site, I do not get a 500 error.

 

Again, this is normal behavior due to process limits to reduce resource abuse.
