rigby101 Posted August 6, 2012 Author Posted August 6, 2012 just reading through the new wiki.helionet.orgi'd bookmarked my cPanel too so that explains the suspension
Ice IT Support Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Did you use this http://www.heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/renew to renew your account? If you have any .htaccess files, try removing those.
rigby101 Posted August 6, 2012 Author Posted August 6, 2012 no i didn't know about that page to renew. i just started a new account. trying it now i get<i>We're sorry, but we either could not find that account in the database, or it is not listed as inactive. Please contact an administrator if you feel this message is in error.</i> i deleted the file you mentioned.. no change.
Ice IT Support Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 That message usually means your previous account was deleted. Users are not allowed to have more than one account on the same server, so the second one you created most likely has some sort of lock on it. An administrator should be able to sort this out.
Byron Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Make sure you've deleted the root .htaccess file and if you have an index file (index.php or index.html) try renaming it and see what happens.
rigby101 Posted August 6, 2012 Author Posted August 6, 2012 wow.. that's esoteric.. i all ready told you i deleted the htacess fileboth yours and mine can't you just restart the original site.. i think the secondary startup was on stevie if that makes a difference..
rigby101 Posted August 7, 2012 Author Posted August 7, 2012 i deleted the htacess file but i had one in the home folder i didn't deletei also changed the name of the index file and back again it is working now.. thanks for the help everyone
