waigy Posted August 1, 2012 Share Posted August 1, 2012 For a few days now i haven't been able to backup my site with ftp.It downloads for about 1 minute then I get a disconnect or cant connect to server.Usually after that happens I can't access my control panel, view my website or sometimes the heliohost home page doesnt open. I recently upgraded to windows 7, but I'm still getting the same results with my previous vista install which uses different anti virus and firewall settings.I'm using filezilla, I tried core ftp and got the same results. Ice IT Support Posted August 1, 2012 Share Posted August 1, 2012 This is most likely caused by the download maxing out your process/CPU/memory limits. The best way to do this would be to use cPanel's backup wizard which provides a zip folder of your entire account or data you select to backup. waigy Posted August 1, 2012 Author Share Posted August 1, 2012 Ok thanks ice it support, the backup wizard works much faster than backing up with ftp (when it worked). I'm still concerned that my ftp isn't working and I found out via Krydos that using ftp might be triggering a 20 minute ban.
