nguyenvulong Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 (I moved my question here cuz it seems more appropriate area - thanks for your understanding) I got 2 questions : 1/ In File Manager : When we put a dot (.) in front of a file name, for example .abc => it will be hidden . How can I unhide it ? 2/ How do I set permission for folder in File Manager(I follow this instruction to configure my apps : http://www.heliohost...anguages/python => and got stuck when I couldn't set permission for my folder (directory)) All opinions are highly appreciated, THANK YOU !
Byron Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 This will show your hidden files: http://YOUR_DOMAIN.heliohost.org:2082/frontend/x3/files/dir.html?showhidden=1&dir=/public_html/ Once your at your file manager through that url above, click onto the folder name and you'll see a link to Change Permissions. If your wanting to change permissions on a file, click the icon left of the file name and you'll see the Change Permissions link. 1
Hairy DJ Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 also if you go to your cPanel you can password protect a folder. You can also change it with .htaccess but it is easier via cPanel 1
