HiMi Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I can't install WordPress on Johnny. How do I do so? I'm sure I did everything right, but I get an error saying that while my username and password were okay, the database wasn't picked up. I do see it in the cPanel, but WordPress doesn't. The host name I'm using is localhost, if that means anything.
viclou Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Actually, there is an easier way to install WordPress!<b>In your cPanel under "Software/Services", there's Softaculous!Just pick WordPress, fill out the info, and it will install WP for you without any pain! 1
anush Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Even upgrading to new edition will also be easier if you install through Softaculous
Brother Hassan Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 I agree, Softaculous is the best way to install Wordpress.
viclou Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 ...and heliohost's servers have cURL built-in, so there's no hassle with upgrading! 1
tq1fkhc Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 thank you for softaculous! I have a question, i've been trying to install wordpress onto johnny & it doesn't recognize it. I've input all the info about which database & user to go through but it still won't install. It's telling me that my server isn't supporting php. Is there something i need to change through sql? or did I pick the wrong server? any info is gratefully appreciated!
