I'm having some rather odd issues, and I'm not sure exactly what is causing them. I think it may be my ISP, but if it is I'm not entirely sure what to do about it.

Basically, I currently can't get to anything on my website, or from what I can tell, anything on johnny.heliohost.org. I can, however, get to Cody. The problem started around noon today when Outlook started giving me errors about not being able to connect to my mail server. At first I thought nothing of it (I'm the only user, and wasn't fully reading the errors it was throwing). I fully realized the error a couple of hours ago, and started to delve into what might be going on.

I can connect to my website if I use my phone, or an online Traceroute/Ping tool, or anything that doesn't go through my router or modem. When I do try to get on through a device on my network, however, I get a Connection Reset error. I've run some traceroutes on my site, and this is what I came up with.

A Normal traceroute looks like this:

TraceRoute to 64.62.211.131 [manygeek.com]

Hop (ms) (ms) (ms) IP Address Host name

1 0 0 0 206.123.64.42 -

2 0 0 0 64.124.196.225 xe-4-2-0.er2.dfw2.us.above.net

3 7 1 0 206.223.118.37 10gigabitethernet3-1.core1.dal1.he.net

4 53 50 49 72.52.92.153 10gigabitethernet8-1.core1.fmt2.he.net

5 77 47 46 184.105.213.29 10gigabitethernet2-1.core1.fmt1.he.net

Whereas the traceroute from my network looks like this:

10 * * * Request timed out.

Since the connection is getting out into the world, I don't think it's my ISP, my modem, or my router. I'm really not sure what is wrong with my connection.

Anybody encounter something like this before?

**EDIT**: Changed the post to be a bit more readable.

EDIT 2: Well, apparently it was my router. I'm not sure why, but for some strange reason my router wasn't letting me get to johnny.heliohost.org. Applying a firmware update fixed it.

I will never know how this worked.
