Teppup Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 So please excuse my lack of knowledge. I signed up for a spot in Jhonny and I've got a couple pages built with notepad and saved as .html. My question is how do I get these pages to display and/or am I even doing it right? I'm sorry haha I'm so new at this.
Wizard Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 You should stick those in public_html. Then they'll show up when you go to [your domain]/[whatever you named the files as].
Teppup Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 Alrighty, thanks. Should be able to get it from here once my website's available.
felipe1988 Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Hi don't want to open a new thread but I'm brand new at this as well and I got a question. Is there a reason that I can log in to my cpanel on heliohost site and not be able to access my site via address? I have rerouted the ns1 and ns2 on my DNS provider to heliohosts.
Wizard Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Did you wait 48 hours for the DNS to resolve and for your account to be created?
felipe1988 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Ah no I didn't I thought that if I could enter cpanel that meant my account had been created.
Ice IT Support Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 It means half of it is created, the DNS still isn't fully set up.
tq1fkhc Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Figured this would be a good place to start. I'm looking to use WordPress. First off, can Helionet support this? and secondly, if so, which directory do I upload to? Home? public.html or (www) ?
Ice IT Support Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 HelioHost does support this, and many users are successfully using it. You should upload to public_html.
