fletch Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Hello. I am trying to create a new database and associated user from within CPanel. It reloads the page after entering in the details, but no user shows up in the list, and there are no error messages anywhere. If I go to try again, it says that the username is already taken. Can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong? This is overly frustrating. Small update. It appears that both the user and database were created. I can log in remotely with the user, and phpmyadmin shows the database, but now I have no way to associate the two since neither show up in CPanel and I don't have the privs to do so from my main mysql account.
viclou Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Are you trying to install WordPress, Joomla, or any CMS system? You can try softalicious to automate the installation process!
Ice IT Support Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Is this with MySQL or PgSQL? For MySQL, click on the MySQL Databases link, scroll to the bottom of the page. There should be a drop-down to select the user and database. Select the appropriate user and database and click add. That should solve the issue. I am not familiar with PgSQL, but I would assume the process is similar. 1
