danny0000d Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Hey I got a question I have been with heliohost for a little over a year now and I have been making improvements to my site over the last year, but here's my problem everytime I try to access my site on a web browser it is 500 Internal Server Error. So what happened did I do something or is it that heliohost just doesn't support co.cc anymore? I have been doing some research and I checked everything on my site webpages, programming, and I even made sure my dns was renewed and that nothing was wrong and there wasn't, so I don't understand did heliohost swicth from co.cc to cu.cc or what? (I don't really like cu.cc cause it is more diffcult to us but still I would understand if I was given a good reason why so back to the main question; Does Heliohost not support co.cc anymore or did I mess up? My site is testpage1234.co.cc
Ice IT Support Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Co.cc and Cu.cc are still supported by HelioHost. Please try clearing your cache and check to make sure the server load is low when you try to access your website.
Ice IT Support Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 It asked me for a username & password. I'm assuming that indicates it is working.
Tjoene Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 It asked me for a username & password. I'm assuming that indicates it is working. Same here.
xwinuser Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 It asked me for the username and password too and of course I do not know the proper credentials but I typed in "anonymous" and left the password blank. I then got the Internal Error 500 page. @admins - Guys please humor me and look at the comment from Wizard about the .htaccess file on this other forum topic. Wouldn't the prompting for a username and password be the product of such file? Could something still be trending since that person is also getting an Internal Error 500 message? The thread is here - http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/11141-500-internal-error-not-fixed/page__fromsearch__1 Just curious. Trying to resolve Parasel's problem and this one seems awfully similar to me. I know you guys know this but I'm throwing it in for good measure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Htaccess
Ice IT Support Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 @danny0000d: What software are you running on your site? (Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, etc.)
xwinuser Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 FYI - Parasel - The user with what I was thinking may be a similar problem was able to resolve his by installing a new WordPress theme. Says he did not change the database. So I am curious to as to what software is running on the site. Also still suspect something with the .htaccess file.
danny0000d Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 I use two different programs frontpage 2003 and dreamweaver cs5.5 SO if it's the htaccess file then what should I do?
Guest xaav Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 Has your domain expired? This is what I'm seeing: http://awesomescreenshot.com/079q17240
danny0000d Posted December 12, 2011 Author Posted December 12, 2011 No it hasn't. The nameserver just got blocked so I have to wait for it to get unblocked so I can get access to my server again.
maths222 Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 A lot of people are having issues with co.cc domains. See my post here: http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/11158-suspended-naus/page__view__findpost__p__75260
danny0000d Posted December 29, 2011 Author Posted December 29, 2011 Thanks, for the help, turn's out it was my .htaccess file, so I fixed the problem now I can get into my site just fine now.
