Vennndetta Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Hello all. I would like to say firstly, that I myself, am not a customer. However, the only reason I found out about this web-host was from someone abusing it to use it as a host for their shell (a.k.a., a host booter). Now I'm sure we're all aware that network manipulation is illegal, and even though I'm not sure what exact url the multiple attacks on my home network came from, I know for a fact it came from the IP address 64.62.211.131, which, when typed into my URL bar, takes me straight to this web-host. I'm aware that this may not be the proper way to go about this, but I would like something done about it.
Guest xaav Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 We can't do anything without knowing which account caused the abuse.
Vennndetta Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 Alright, well I will do my best to find which account it was. I have the IP address of the guy who did it, but I'm not sure if that would help?
Guest xaav Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 See, the problem is we have 21000 accounts hosted on our servers, sharing about 15 IPs. So, giving me that IP narrows it down to 1400 accounts, more or less.
Vennndetta Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 I understand that, and what showed up alongside the log of the ip was the name "teardrop". Does that help in anyway?
Guest xaav Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Okay, that account has been suspended. Thanks so much.
Vennndetta Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 You're welcome, and thank you also. You just saved me a whole load of trouble sir!
