Incidentally, I can understand how a hacker can try to login to my CPANEL account but how can he request a pw change and how does my password subsequently fail?

Hello, this is urgent. I received an email yesterday morning advising that I requested a password change for my cpanel. I DID NOT REQUEST THIS! My account has obviously been hacked (and I believe that I know by whom). Please reset my password and advise to this email address. My username is bassman and my original pw is we.....t. Oops spoke to soon - although the site is up (bassman.heliohost.org/amband.php) again cannot log in to cpanel - 'Authentication Required' is repeated.

FTP again fails to connect also.

Have cleared cache ...

created new account

STILL cannot log in
