  1. hey! you are at E10Host aren't you????

Nope I am not. I have a complete video of Brazil Vs France on my PC (of course the ones I have posted came in an email from my friend). These pics were shown to all the people via ESPN STAR Sports channel and may be the person at E10host also collected the same pics as I did. Moreover these pics are highly circulated in the friends circle and I think its merely a co-incidence that someone at E10host made the same post and nothing more.

  2. Need for Speed Carbon is the latest entry in EA's long running racing series. This year's game is an ambitious expansion of the key features that have made the series popular with new elements that have come out of the team's research into the racing scene. The big hooks this year are canyon racing, racing crews, and car class affiliation. The heart of the game's career mode is a battle for control of a city. The game's setting is a massive free roaming metropolis that's bigger than the one seen in last year's Most Wanted. In addition, you'll find massive canyons that will serve as the stage for the unique boss battles. The action in the game will find you building up a crew of racers to help you take over the city neighborhood by neighborhood and mastering the three car classes--tuner, muscle, and exotic. Furthermore, EA's Vancouver based studio is trying out some interesting expansions of the car customization feature seen in previous games.

The game's premise casts you as an established racer who got involved in the blacklist shenanigans of Most Wanted and is now returning to the game's city to right a wrong done to you. The exact details of the story are being kept under wraps, especially when it comes to what, if any, ties it has Most Wanted's narrative (which naturally makes us think there is), so we weren't able to find out too much. One thing we do know is that the game's narrative will again play out via cinematics handled by the director that did Most Wanted's. However, in keeping with the game's tone, the cinematics will have a different feel from Most Wanted's awesomely campy movies

In terms of gameplay, Need for Speed Carbon stays true to the open world framework of its predecessors but manages to trick it out considerably. The core experience has you traveling through the massive city that is the main stage for the game's action and challenging other crews for control of their territory. As you defeat them you'll take their 'hood and your rep will grow. Obviously taking on racing crews will present a sizeable challenge that is more than one man can handle. Fortunately you'll be able to recruit a posse of wingmen to help you out in your quest. The wingmen will present a unique new twist to the gameplay as each will offer unique abilities you can call on during a race to give you an edge. What we've heard of so far are blockers, scouts, and drafters. So, for example, you could call on a blocker wingman to help you get past or slow down an opponent. Where things get really interesting with the wingmen though are the abilities they'll have outside of a race. Though the team isn't giving up all the details on how this will all work just yet, they shared the different out of race abilities and offered some info on what to expect from them, mechanics and fabricators will affect how much you'll be able to customize the performance and visual aspects of your car while influencers will impact how you interact with groups such as the police in the game.

Once you and your crew have managed to defeat the opposition in an area, you'll find yourself in a boss fight that highlights another unique addition to the experience, the canyon race. The canyon races are unique two stage competitions that find you testing your skills against a boss for points. The first leg of the race finds you trying to follow close behind the boss as he races to a finish line at the bottom of a hill. Your goal is to stick as close as possible to him as you'll earn points based on your proximity. The second leg of the race finds you in the lead trying to put as much distance between you and the boss as you tear down the route again. This time out your points are on the line as the boss will be draining points from you, to varying degrees depending on their proximity to you. Your goal is to reach the finish line with some points intact. Though extremely challenging, the races offer the potential for instant victories if you can manage to meet certain conditions such as staying out in front for a certain amount of time or getting a sizable lead when being followed. You can also lose just as fast if you happen to collide with some of the destructible barriers that are set on parts of the track.

Another new twist to the gameplay in Need for Speed Carbon is the variety of car classes, which are being tweaked to have unique physics and handling. We were able to try out a canyon run with a car from each class and we liked how different each was. You'll actually have to become familiar with each of the classes in Need for Speed Carbon as, unlike previous games, you'll really have to master them all to some degree. The main reason to do so is that, when facing off against the various crews, you'll find that their individual turfs have been designed to play to the strengths of their vehicles. So tuner car areas will feature sharp turns, while muscle car areas will favor more linear open tracks, for example.

Need for Speed Carbon will also feature the return of the drift races that were absent from Most Wanted.Another returning feature with a fresh twist is customization. This time out Carbon is poised to offer all the expected features seen in previous games, although the ability to tune your cars isn't quite as deep as that offered in Need for Speed Underground 2, there's a crazy new aspect to it. The big twist this year is "auto sculpting" a Fight Night-esque method of morphing the elements of your car in reality via sliders and the controller's analog sticks. Your wingmen's out-of-race abilities play a part here as if you have some that possesses the fabricator and mechanic abilities you'll be able to do more to your cars.

  4.

I saw MI1, and like it.... rather loved it.... the scene whether he catches the sweat drop to avoid been caught...awesome....

Then came the stylish MI2, not better than the first, but enjoyable for its style, fast paced action scenes, and cool bike sequences....

And now MI3, just had the chance to watch it, and liked it... dont know why it was not a big hit at the US box office..... alright, i admit it had a few glitches here and there...

    Tech / Crew details :

    Release Date: May 5, 2006

    Studio: Paramount Pictures

    Director: J.J. Abrams

Screenwriter: Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, J.J. Abrams

Starring: Tom Cruise, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ving Rhames, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Crudup, Michelle Monaghan, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Keri Russell, Maggie Q

MPAA Rating: PG-13 (for intense sequences of frenetic violence & menace, disturbing images & some sensuality)

    Official Website: MissionImpossible.com

    PLOT

It never gets better than this... what complaint i had regarding MI series was that somewhere in between the plot slows down, which i do not like for a movie of this high propotions, and MI3 live up to the challenge.... Absolute pacy, with no jerks, you kindda love it for the fact that it hardly let you get ur eyes off (bad luck if you go to watch it with your girlfriend), Agent Ethan Hunt delivers actions better than ever, faster than ever, and thriller than ever.....The testosterone levels are all amped up.

Ethan now has a normal life with a sweet ordinary nurse-girlfriend, Julia (Michelle Monaghan), he is also tougher and meaner. It all starts with the engagement party, when he gets a call. His star pupil, Lindsey Ferris (Keri Russell) has been held by Owen Davian (Philip Seymour Hoffman). MIF’s operations manager Musgrave (Billy Crudup) asks Hunt to join his former team in an “Unauthorized - Don’t Tell Brassel (Laurence Fishburne) - Mission: Freeing Ferris." Ethan reunites with Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) and new characters Declan (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and Zhen (Maggie Q) to carry out the mission, in disguise for a business trip (as told to her wife).

Davian is not to be toyed with. He implants time-release explosives in his victim’s brains. You die – no options. So does Ferris, and they learn it the hard way.... This pumps up Ethan's adranaline.... Fed up by brassel's remarks about his lack of skills among other things, ethan plans to kidnap davian straight away, and he does, that too right inside the vatican city, in a party.

What follows afterwards is dismal, MIF has a mole who help davian get off before returning to the base, moreover ethan's wife is kidnap (yes, he gets married finally), and now they demand a mysterios thing worth 850 million dollars called rabbit's foot. What it is dont ask...?? I dont know. How he saves his wife and himself is also not to be revealed. Who is the mole ???? Go watch the movie.....

    THE HIGHS

The chopper scene and highway chase – with Hunt being thrown against a car are terrific. Apart from that, a lots of other things makes me glue to the sit like.....The identity-switching mask, the reality-shifting stunts, Hunt-Flying-On-A-Wire trick etc.

    THE LOWS

Plots runs a bit sketchy, and is dragged, but streamlined continous actions makes for it...... Although i still need to know what the rabbit's foot is...????... Also how the hell did hunt stole it (no describtion given).....

    BEST SCENE

    1. HIGHWAY SCENE WHERE HUNT IS TRYING TO OREVENT DAVIAN'S EACAPE....

    2. WHEN HUNTS JUMPS FROM THE BILDING WITH PARACHUTE AFTER STEALING RABBIT'S FOOT... FOLLOWED BY A BRUTAL CAR CHASE....

    MUSIC

The famous M:I theme music is used too sparingly, but it has been toughened up.

    IN A NUTSHELL

Stylish agent who dares anything.... Fast pace... keeping you on the edge of the seat.... Awesome stunts at glamorous locations..... All makes up for the slightly sketchy script and any other flaws.....

So go and watch it.... do reply your views on it....... BTW THIS REVIEW WILL SELF DESTRUCT IN 5 SECONDS.......

  5. The browser wars are heating up, as the first beta of Firefox 2.0 is due on Tuesday July 11th, and Internet Explorer version 7.0 is now on it's third beta release.

Firefox fans, and browser junkies have an opportunity to get a jump on Tuesday's beta, as a public "release candidate" has been posted on the Mozilla FTP site. This nightly build is finally feature complete, although it's still not completely ready for mass consumption.

Reports from early testers compliment two of the significant new features: an integrated spell checker, and an anti-phishing tool. The spell-checker promises to make blog and forum postings more lucid. The phishing filter (an integrated component of IE 7.0 as well) works with locally stored lists of bad sites, along with Google's site listing, and possibly others down the road.

The rest of the interface stays mostly the same, unlike the more radical changes in IE 7.0. Firefox 2.0 does include a horizontal scrolling capability for tabs, and an ability to close a tab directly from within the tab itself. The Options dialog has been reworked to include a horizontal, tabbed based interface, and numerous changes have been made under the hood.

This new version of Firefox also offers relief for early adopters of intel-based macintosh hardware. One tester on Digg was overjoyed, saying "Oh thank you lord, Firefox finally work correctly on my Mac Mini!"

You can download the Windows release candidate of Firefox 2.0 Beta 1 directly, along with Mac and Linux versions, but beware. It will overwrite your existing themes, and render existing extensions unusable. A "portable" version of Firefox 2.0 that will let you try without affecting your existing Firefox setup has also been made available.

Stay tuned, we'll have a detailed preview of beta 1 of Firefox Version 2.0 posted soon

  6. Naah... small clashes are something different and bombing cities is something else. Even between families if the clash is too strong, they could even kill one another.. humans are hungry for power and they can go to any level to be all-powerful, controlling others and eventually making others follow their own ideologies.

Yeah I can't deny the fact that human over all has an invidualistic attitude. Like lions he loves being alone and independent but like sheeps he wants the feeling of security as well. These mixed feeling can sometime make him paranoid and he doesn't know what he is doing and why.

A cool, calm and confident (triple C) mind can overcome any problem thrown infront of him. A human can raise himself from all these basic instincts by establishing self-control and descipline, and then the world may get a platform to unite.

  7. You sure this movie is worth the big bucks at Inox? The superman looks gay :P

Yupp!! I saw it and I just loved it. I think you can watch it at Inox or PVR or any other luxurious Cinema Hall or Multiplex.

BTW his Indian version Krrish is also hitting high on box office stats.

    CAST

Director : Bryan Singer (of X-Men and X2: X-Men United fame)

    Brandon Routh .... Clark Kent/Superman

    Kate Bosworth .... Lois Lane

    Kevin Spacey .... Lex Luthor

    James Marsden .... Richard White

    Parker Posey .... Kitty Kowalski

    Frank Langella .... Perry White

    Sam Huntington .... Jimmy Olsen

Eva Marie Saint .... Martha Kent

Marlon Brando .... Jor-El (archive footage)

    Background

The first 4 Superman movies were made in the late 1970s and 1980s. All of them starred Christopher Reeve as Superman.

It was this series of movies which made Reeve a household name.

Superman is a Kryptonian. He was born on the planet Krypton which was destroyed when he was a baby. His father Jor-El was a brilliant scientist on the planet Krypton and predicted the planet's destruction. He was not allowed to leave the planet but he made a special spacecraft for Kal-El and sent him on his way to planet Earth where he was found by Martha Kent and Jonathan Kent, a farming family in Smallville, Kansas.

Kal-El's body is very dense and in the presence of the yellow sun of the solar system, he gains powers and capabilities far beyond normal earthlings.

Clark Kent is brought up on the farm and then goes on to join the Daily Planet as a reporter where he meets the love of his life Lois Lane.

    The Movie

    The basic storyline

The story of this latest Superman movie is that Superman has been away from Earth for five years. He had gone to the remains of the planet Krypton to see if anyone else survived.

Lois Lane has moved on. She even has a son and is engaged to Richard White (the nephew of Perry White, the Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Planet ). She has also won a Pulitzer Prize for her article "Why the world does not need Superman".

And Lex Luthor has been released from jail because Superman missed his date in court to testify against Lex.

    My Thoughts

    Cinematography and Special Effects

In one word - Brilliant!! The whole movie has been shot superbly. The locales for the Fortress of Solitude is very very well made. And all the action sequences have been made very well.

And the special effects are mindblowing. Superman flying is way more realistic than the previous movies(where he looked more like he was swimming :P ).

The very first action scene in the movie is by far the best. Where he saves an aircraft (with Lois Lane on board, obviously :P ) from crashing.

The action sequences are bound to keep you on the edge of your seat. You will be able to predict the end of the scene, but still, it is to the credit of the special effects team that they manage to keep you on tenterhooks throughout the movie.

    The Story

The writers sure had a challenge on their hands. Making a sequel to one of the all time great super hero movies is not an easy task by any means, but they have pulled it off!!

I obviously cant reveal too much of the story, but it is splendid.

    Screenplay

The screenplay is truly amazing. There is not a single dull moment. Even when there is not much action happening on screen, you dont feel bored((except the parts where Superman takes Lois flying which actually drags on for a bit too much and you are already hoping and praying for the movie to get back to the main story).

    Sound and Music

The sound is good. On par with a movie with such a huge budget. But the music, they havent changed it much. It is still the traditional SUPERMAN music. I personally dont like it much. But one of my friends loves that Superman music. So, I guess it depends on your taste.

    Characters and Acting

This is the easiest to write about :D . Each and every one of the actors have done their job superbly. Brandon Routh is amazing as the new Superman. In some ways, I find him to be a better Superman than Reeve. His expressions and his wisecracks are amazing. His expressions when Perry White is briefing the whole Daily Planet staff abt the return of Superman and ordering them to find as many details as possible (like girlfriends, ealth, whether he has put on weight, etc) are amazing!!

And in the action sequences too, he is amazing!!

And abt the other characters, one of the main characters is a new one. Richard White, the fiance of Lois Lane. Initially, he seemed just about OK. But as the movie progressed to the climax he really came into his own. Another superb performance from him(better known to X-Men fans as Cyclops).

Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane is amazing. She does not really have any chemistry with Clark Kent but that is to be expected as she had felt betrayed when he ran away for 5 whole years without so much as a goodbye.

Lois Lane's son played by Tristan Lake Leabu is also really nice. As a kid, there isnt much scope for him to show his acting prowess but he plays his part as a cute kid perfectly.

And of course, Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. He is amazing!!! Simply superb!! He plays Lex way better than Gene Hackman in the original. And his scheme is so diabolical that Superman really has to find something extra special to defeat him this time.

Jimmy Olsen is also there played by Sam Huntington. But his role is quite small. Martha Kent's role is also minimal played by Eva Marie Saint.

    Comparison with Smallville

This is a category I felt was inevitable. Many of us here have been watching the TV show Smallville which basically revolves around Clark Kent's teenage life. And in the last few seasons, his life at college.

Before going for the movie, I had already made Smallville as the benchmark as I hated the original movie made in 1978. So, I wanted Kevin Spacey to protray Lex Luthor just as Michael Rosenbaum does in Smallville. I wanted Lois Lane to be just like Erica Durance.

Of course, that did not happen. But happily, I am not disappointed. after watching the movie, you feel that you just cannot compare the 2. Smallville is so different from Superman Returns.

Kevin Spacey's Lex Luthor is more like the Lex Luthor of the 1978 movie. But much much better. He has quite a few witty lines and there is quite a bit of humour with him. But he isnt stupidly funny(as I found Gene Hackman).

The protrayal of Lex Luthor in the movie is of a complete megalomaniac. Simply brilliant!!

And of course, Kate Bosworth cant really portray Lois Lane like how Erica Durance does mainly because there is quite a bit of chasm between Clark and Lois and Superman and Lois. She still has feelings for Superman, but whether it is enough to make her leave her fiance is another matter.

    Conclusion

This is a breathtaking movie. A splendid tribute to Christopher Reeve(they do mention that in the credits that this is a tribute to Christopher Reeve and Dana Reeve). Bryan Singer keeps his reputation intact. Another splendid movie after the double whammy with the first two X-men movies.

If you have not planned on seeing this movie, then trust me and go and watch the movie.

PS: Dont expect the laws of physics to hold good in this movie. My friends and I were having a discussion over lunch as to how many basic laws of Physics were broken.

  10. i'd have to agree in certain aspects. As I said, humans are social animals. They relly on the others to live. They need other people to survive. That's certain. But one thing is to speak in a minor term and the other is a global stand. I'm social, i have plenty friends, love to hang out, to leave. But still, if you ask me if I agree, let's say, that english should be world's language and islam the religion of everyone, or that i should sing la marsaillese instead of my national anthem, then i would deny. Even if the thing at stake was world unity. But that doens't mean that i hate all this or that i disagree that anyone should applaud it. That just mean that I would like to keep my cultural, country identity. So that's the problem with world unity and human selfish nature. Is to decide what would be the "pattern" to a global identity instead of local ones.

I always you don't have to be identical to be united. Small clashes take place everywhere even in the families between parents and children But that does not split them apart.

Take a look at cluster supercomputer, Its not necessary that all its nodes should have similar configuration (as the OS generally *nix is programmed to use each node to the maximum). A similar society can also exist. Our uniquesness is our strength as for this paves the path to unification (as this uniqueness is also our incompleteness). Our culture, country, language, religion at local level can be different. But at the core we should be the same only humans ready to fight with all adversities and to acheive what he aims.

Unification can also exist in diversity, The Universe is more beautifull and glorious than just Milky Way or Any other galaxy.

  11. To win, yes, you'll have to pick NO. Because there is much more arguments to NO than there is to YES. As I said and nilyaz said too, human being is selfish and would always stood up for their believes as the better one.

In the case you mentioned, of an alian invasion, then maybe they would unite. But it wouldn't be a real unity. I would be a unity in an emergency, an animal impulse to survival. For the same reason you would unite with your worst enemy if your life were at danger. It's a mere impulse not a real unity. So therefore, speaking of a real unity, then I still go with NEVER. Even with the progressive unity that HL mentioned, would still be almost impossible, because of the language, religion, cultures, believes barriers. Everyone would want to adopt their own as the one.

Well the debate is over now and I have neither won nor lost. It was a tie.

I advocated for "YES" instead of "NO" because my mind and soul were just not willing to produce something that was artificial to them.

Unification is key to success for me or for anybody. Just Imagine sitting in your home all day and night without TV or Internet or XBox or PS2 and not going out just because you thought you were selfish???

The flaws are in everybody but they can be removed only if you have somebody to point and urge you to remove them.

I wanna live with optimism and I believe in what I think. Someone had said "For I believe Therefore I am", Same goes here.

Every Human is unique and that's what according to people spreads diversity but that's the thing that spreads unity as well. No one is perfect and the uniqueness of each human being comes in this way only.

Since nobody is perfect one has to depend on another and other has to on another and chain goes on and on finally forming a Matrix of the order "n*n".

  12. Err... one question... y is it rated on a scale of 7? Decimal-Hater! [:P]

Because I am 7 lover :D . Well actually if I rated this movie @ a scale of 10 the scores would have been quite less and if @ 5 the scores would have been even more pathetic. :P

And BTW I believe in precision units :D
