  1. Pretty sure this is some server issue as I haven't changed anything recently on my website. The website itself is accessible at www.jaldireviews.com

    Maybe some DB access issue???

    More details below:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@www.jaldireviews.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/2.2.16 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.16 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_wsgi/3.3 Python/2.7.1 Server at www.jaldireviews.com Port 80

    Update:

Now trying to access the wordpress login page @ www.jaldireviews.com/wp-admin gives me the 500 error

Previously it was displaying the login page, but when I give username and password it took a long time and displayed the 500 error

    Update:

    Something wrong with the plugins

manually disabled all of my plugins by following this instruction:

    Use phpMyAdmin

    • In the table wp_options, under the option_name column (field) find the active_plugins row
    • Change the option_value field to: a:0:{}

If you can't figure out how get around phpMyAdmin, I would imagine GoDaddy support could at least help with that.

Another method for manually disabling plugins is described here: http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F

After I disabled the plugins with this method, I was able to login to my wp-admin. I activated my plugins one at a time and logged out after each one until I found the culprit. In my case it was WordPress Mobile, but I imagine this could happen from time to time with other plugins as well.

    Hope this helps.

  2. yes regarding the domain name, i did include the www first and then corrected it to not have the www. I'll recreate the subdomains...not a big issue

but the DB issue is really problematic. there is no wrong password or config issues. It keeps coming and going several, times a day when i'm editing posts. So I can only imaging how bad it must be over a 24 hour period and for my visitors :(

  3. thanks for the response, but all the databases are MyISAM.

the errors that I keep getting are "Error establishing a database connection" or "500 Internal Server Error" or ANother error page where it says unable to connect to DB (I will give the text once I get it)

slightly unrelated, but the domain name is www.jaldireviews.com but I'm pretty sure there is a domain mapping issue as all subdomains have a www prefix, eg. test.jaldireviews.com is not a subdomain, but test.www.jaldireviews.com -- maybe I have to delete and create these subdomains???

The 3rd error I keep getting is:

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.

  4. Hi,

my website is hosted on Stevie with username zooter.

Constantly myself and visitors keep complaining about

    Error establishing a database connection

This seems to clear up after some time, but is obviously inconvenient if I want to have a website up and running all the time....also, myi'm unable to update my wordpress posts due to this error.

    this happens almost every day

    please help

  5. a. your HelioHost username -- zooter

    b. the server your account is on -- stevie

    c. your HelioHost main domain -- stevie.heliohost.org

    Hi,

Additional info -- I used the domain change script @ http://www.heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/domain to change my domain name to www.jaldireviews.com -- I believe the error was I should not have included www in front of the domain name.

Because now, I see in my account that subdomains are being shown as test.www.jaldireviews.com which is incorrect.

I've again queued it without the www prefix, but I'm not sure if it'll work.

PS: This is the first time I'm using the automated script to change the domain name, so apologies. Previously I think it was manually setup by posting on this forum

    Thanks

  6. account: zooter

    host: steve.heliohost.org

    domain: mycurrentcontactinfo.com

PS: I had to register a new username called "zooter80" in order to post this as I was unable to reset my password since my account was suspended. It's a catch-22 situation

    Thanks

EDIT: seems i'm able to reactivate using the automated script...
