i deleted the htacess file but i had one in the home folder i didn't delete i also changed the name of the index file and back again it is working now.. thanks for the help everyone

wow.. that's esoteric.. i all ready told you i deleted the htacess file both yours and mine can't you just restart the original site.. i think the secondary startup was on stevie if that makes a difference..

so how do i get an admin to sort it out?

no i didn't know about that page to renew. i just started a new account. trying it now i get <i>We're sorry, but we either could not find that account in the database, or it is not listed as inactive. Please contact an administrator if you feel this message is in error.</i> i deleted the file you mentioned.. no change.

just reading through the new wiki.helionet.org i'd bookmarked my cPanel too so that explains the suspension

hi my site was put on hold because of the one month rule (i was using an ftp client rather than cPanel doh!) anyway i restarted and was getting a 500 i tried ftping files and nothing happened, i tried usingthe cPanel manual upload which says they're there but i'm still getting 500 page. i'm guessing it's pointing at the wrong place but i don't know how to fix that help would be much appreciated website: marchulson.com thanks rigby
