  1. I like Apache2Triad the best. It has a great full control panel, and works very well. Has an easy interface for editing config files, and everything you need to run a site or just test.
  2. I've used Leopard quite a bit, and I think "it's just another OS", but with some useful features. It's cheap compared to Vista, but still expensive. I use Ubuntu, XP, Tiger, Leopard, and Vista. I have to say I like them in this order. 1. Ubuntu 2. Leopard 3. Tiger 4. XP 5. Vista Ubuntu is a great OS, you can dual boot it easily, and there are tons of programs for it.
  3. Technically speaking, it can drain battery life. Due to Aero Glass and the like, the OS requires more power (it constantly uses the CPU and graphics chip). I don't have a notebook, so I can't really say, but if I were you, I'd stick to XP if you need great battery life. Anyway, Vista is sorta sucky.
