I have a Python script that collects data. It runs once a minute and sleeps for 58 seconds to prevent account overloading, which seems to work fine. However, the script gets a timeout error, typically within an hour or two:

Timeout waiting for output from CGI script

The script writes to a log file every minute and also runs a print statement. Is there anything I can do to prevent these timeouts?

Thank you very much. Is there somewhere I can see how much load I'm causing and how close the the limit it is?
