  1. Why is that stuff happening?

Sorry for the inconvenience! The filesystem mounted at / on this server is running out of disk space. cPanel operations have been temporarily suspended to prevent something bad from happening. Please ask your system admin to remove any files not in use on that partition.

  2. My website is in Brazilian Portuguese. And as you know, this is a language that uses special characters such as accents, cedillas, tildes, etc. And those characters are not being recogzined. I heard that something like this would solve:

    ini_set('default_charset','UTF-8');

But even so, it didn't work out. My html is set as charset=utf-8. And nothing. My database is set as utf-8_general_ci, so are the tables in it. What solution can solve this problem?
  3. This is not supported on the cPanel servers. Our Windows server Lily should support it, but if you went that route, there is no user interface or other way to really change any settings. Users only get FTP access and PhpMyAdmin on that server.

A PHP application will run there though, assuming it's compatible with IIS...

No problem. I don't use IIS. But could you give me an example?

  4. Is it possible to create a database through MySQL commands using PHP here? Look at this situation: I want the clients to create a database with the click of a button, containing several preset tables, using SQL commands inside PDOs in PHP. That being said, I want those databases to be created automatically, because this is part of a customized simple application.

  5. Create one using Aliases under the domain tab in the cPanel. And that’s it, you don’t have to do anything else. All you have to do is just upload your files and visit with your new domain as normal. All of our servers are unlimited, so you can add as many as you like.

Also, did you purchase that domain yet? If not, you will have to do that first and using our nameservers to work. AFTER you add the new domain.

    ns1.heliohost.org

    ns2.heliohost.org

EDIT: For the subdomain, you can do that using the subdomain tab under the domains tab. You just have to change it in the domain dropdown option, and yes you do have to upload your files to your related domain.

Nope, I didn't purchase it yet. I just hired it for one year for free. Is there any problem about it? Will it work all the same?

  6.

That folder was the remnant of the addon domain you added. It was fine to remove it. For now, wait for the domain to start working. Should take ~2 hours.

You might also want to disable SSL redirect (or add an exception to the .well-known directory) if you had one so that it can generate SSL without problems.

What if I don't disable SSL redirect? Will there be any problem? How do I add an exception to the .well-known directory? I think I can generate another SSL later.

Ok, now I can access it via the new domain. Do I have to reset the current SSL properties and then generate another SSL to make it accessible through HTTPS again? I always do this via ZeroSSL.

For it to be your primary domain, you need to use this script instead: http://www.heliohost.org/classic/support/scripts/domain

Just make sure that you remove that domain from Addon Domains first before using the script.

Ok, I've just done it. Are you sure it won't give me problems? Because it seems to me that I've ever done something like that before... Like... I changed my domain once using those fields. I don't know. I just don't wanna come across something like https://orangeadextk.heliohost.org later.

I also deleted a folder there in my File Manager named orangeadex.tk. Is it ok? And I also tried to access the domain orangeadex.tk and this shows on the screen:

Ahoy! You're seeing this page because you've reached a website on our service that's not configured to accept secure connections (HTTPS).

If you're a visitor, try visiting this site again, removing the "https" in front of the website domain. Please note that your connection to this user's website will not be secure.

If you're the webmaster of this site, we recommend you take a few minutes to set up SSL so your visitors can connect securely. You can do this from your control panel. If you need assistance, please visit our support forums or Wiki.

    Thanks for choosing HelioHost!

    Sincerely,

    The Heliohost Staff

  10. Wait for the nameservers to propagate and add the domain under "Addon Domains" in cPanel.

As for TLS (SSL), you will receive it automatically after around 2 hours of adding the domain.

EDIT: You can try adding it now. It should work.

Yes, ok. But where exactly do I go? Because it's a bit confusing to me. I went there on Addon Domains, I really did it, and then it added a subdomain and another root there automatically, I don't understand why. I don't wanna create a subdomain, I just need the new domain to be pointed to https://orangeadex.heliohost.org. and not to https://orangeadex.orangeadex.heliohost.org What have I done wrongly? Can you give me the procedures?

Once the deletion finishes, the domain should free itself.

Note that tommy is extremely difficult to get into for free, the free account it offers every day gets filled within seconds of opening. The free registration opens at midnight UTC every day if you wish to try. Most people complete the email step shortly before opening, then just sit there refreshing the server selection screen at midnight UTC until the button appears.

The large majority of tommy users end up having to donate a dollar to get one however.

Well, I'll try it anyway. What is the time zone difference between there and Brazil here? Three hours? Now it's 1:37 p.m. here.

Yes, I really tried to enter Tommy and I didn't. But I got to enter Ricky. Now I'd like to change this account of mine (allan88) here at helionet.org and change to my new one (orange77). Is that possible? I've tried to login using the new account (orange77) made to enter Ricky, but I didn't.

  13. You need to create a new account. Since you can't use your old subdomain yet, a root admin has to clean the subdomain first and then you can proceed.

I've already created a new account, but using another email. I'll wait for Tommy to be freed then I'll enter it. For the moment, I'll wait for you to solve the deletion of the subdomain name from the system, so that I can use it again. After that, may I return to my previous email? May I use the same username (allan88)? I also deleted my account again, that one I said to you that I had reactivated.

  14.

For the username, sure. Just make sure that the email you used is the same one as your forum account.

    But for the subdomain:

orangeadex.heliohost.org exists as main domain.orangeadex.heliohost.org exists as parked/addon/subdomain.

A root admin needs to clean the domain.

This support request is being escalated to our root admin.

Nice! No prob. In reality, I need the subdomain name to be the same (orangeadex). I'm already creating the account.

I tried to reactivate my account. I entered my email and password, but it says: Invalid Login

  16. You must have clicked the delete button twice. It already deleted your account.

Also, this might help. It tells you when the signups resets.

Yep. Anyway, that may mean that I've deleted my account myself. May I open a new account using the same previous username and using the same subdomain name?
