  1. ^ That! I absolutely hate every form of DRM and it kind of pisses me off that even Win7 basically grabs my PC by the balls and starts telling me what I can and can not do with it. And operating should not start up and already be using half your RAM. :\ I don't have that great a computer! Leave me alone! D: The only sad thing is that since I don't have an overkill on resources, I can't use that to overcompensate with being able to run games under Ubuntu. But danm. I love me some Xubuntu and Beryl.
  2. I use Chrome. Firefox has become too bloated and slow for my liking. I used to use it; but since Chrome became more stable, I've started using that. It also seems to be much faster with multi-core CPUs. I really really really hated it when I had like 10-20 tabs open in FF and some flash component on a page died on me, and I ended up having to re-open them all again, or even close FF and stop what I was doing at that time. Chrome just lets the tab crash and lets you keep doing that you're doing. Also has extensions; but not that many features as to make it bloated on install. FF does, imo.
  3. Google Wave will keep running for this year, but will end because of the low number of users. Personally I know a whole bunch of people that love using it; but since most of the people failed to understand that it's not a shiny chatprogram, but a collaboration tool to communicate while working on projects, it barely even reached the number of anticipated users. Makes me a sad panda.
  4. I highly doubt it. All that runs on my account is Wordpress. Without anything fancy. Once again, I'd like to jump on the bandwagon here, also. It seems to be a persistant problem for every php script powered website on Stevie. This has been going on all of September; because it's been doing it since I signed up. I don't mind a little downtime from time to time... ...But 'down' [unavailable; html pages are fine!] for six hours+ is getting a bit ridiculous, especially when the the server load isn't necessarily high at that time. So what the heck is causing apache to disallow the loading of php scripts while the load is that high? And WHY is that load so high?! Is someone being an asshat? Edit: No, really; why would simple php scripts be rejected to run simply because the load is at a certain percentage? <3
  5. I think it would have occurred either way. People themselves never want wars... It's always the people that govern and set the policy's, that bump shoulders with the people who profit from such a thing. So in my opinion, if that wouldn't have spurred them into war, something else would have. :\
  6. I disagree. Strategy wise it's a great move. Plant a false flag, scare people to let them do what you want; disregard the US constitution (I'm not even American btw) and invading countries w/o declaration of war. Around 3000 people isn't that much compared to the whole US population (or at least the ones that can vote). And keep in mind, this is the country where something around 1.4%? of it's population is in jail. =P (And where most of the manufacturing of certain goods is done) Division, profit. And great to ruin the economy. Everyone's scared of losing their livelyhood and the things they need like food and shelter because of a failing economy... ... And that way let even more crazy laws pass. Not really all that non-interventionist xD
  7. I feel like reviving this. In regards to the blabbering that was going on about the two towers: 1] First of all, the towers were built to WITHSTAND multiple plane crashes. By planes bigger than the ones that hit them. Look up the construction of the towers. There were central support columns that made it IMPOSSIBLE for the towers to randomly "pancake" down. After the towers collapsed; those MASSIVE girders were laying around when they started clearing up, and most of them were removed ASAP and shipped to China to make cars out of... Or some crap like that. 2] Secondly, the kerosene burned off in the initial blasts; you can even see LIVING PEOPLE at the hole(s) in the towers not too long after the second explosion, moving around and touching the walls that were *supposedly* so hot that they made the steel girders 'bend', which was the official cause of the collapses. 3] Thirdly; the official "cause" (by the 9/11 commission) was FIRE. *Supposedly* the fires got *so* hot, they bent the girders in the towers that they'd collapse. For the first time in human history?! Look at the Madrid hotel. Burned for 20+ hours and was still standing. Nonsense! 4] WTC7 fell down FOR NO REASON. There were a few small fires; and there is actually a 9/11 conspiracy vid around that shows firemen pulling out, next to WTC7, because "they're going to blow it". (you can HEAR them say/ask about it several times) 5] The DAY it happened, tons of demolition experts exclaimed that they thought it was nonsense of the towers to fall like that. Thousands of architects have teamed up for this. Look it up. The similarities between how the towers collapsed and controlled demolition are UNCANNY! If the towers would have pancaked; they would have tilted way more because of all the crap in the offices. 6] There was nano thermite found in the dust of the towers. Nano thermite is a substance you could literally paint onto steel pillars and which, when ignited, lowers the temperature at which steel melts. Look up some videos on youtube and then watch the news footage of the towers with molten steel pouring out. Caused by fire? Lolol. This is exactly the kind of games that the government constantly plays. All around the globe. What makes you SO sheepish that you dare assume that your government is looking out for you? Has it ever? Honestly, it was all just a pretence to take away more civil rights and start a "war", which is profitable for a lot of people; and it divides people and propagates hatred and anger. (STUPID CONSPIRACY THEORISTS! >:[ ) If you close your eyes and cover your ears and don't WANT to see that almost every major over-exposed 'thing' in the media is to shape YOUR personal beliefs to THEIR needs, merely because the Pretty Truth Speaking Box [aka. TV] says so; you're being a sheep. Right now there is a bill in Senate that will DISALLOW American citizens from GROWING THEIR OWN FOOD. Keep in mind that most of the [nowadays fictional] money is not regulated by governments but by federal "banks"; that are actually private institutions. Banking Elite, hey that sounds familiar. The same with oil (and oil being energy, since we use it for nearly everything).
  8. I'm probably going to get flak, but what the heck. Personally I don't think either is wholly true. I think Darwinism has been pulled out of context way too much by eugenics. Darwin himself focussed on the animal kingdom; not so much on humans. It was Galton who further pushed and popularized the idea of social Darwinism and eugenics. I find it much more likely that most if not all things were created at a certain time and "evolved" more in a way of adaptation; nature tends to balance itself out. Humans do not. So when it comes to the topic of evolution, I get distracted by eugenics and all the evil plot twists behind it. (Wanting to make the standard an uber mensch, disallowing people with certain negative genetic traits to reproduce, etc- most of today's Darwinian theories were worked out in Nazi Germany- creepily enough like most of the 'advanced' tech of the 50's. xD) I find it MUCH more likely that humans were created as described on Sumerian tablets. Even though there are even older pre-Sanskrit writings found now; a lot of information we haven't known up until this century was already known then and can be found on those Sumerian tablets, including depictions of our entire solar system, and stories about human creation. The Sumerians talked about a highly advanced race that genetically engineered humans as slaves and pretty much trapped us in our mind construct. That last part sounds pretty self-evident to me, looking around at my fellow humans. So, to stop babbling incoherantly and answer the topic question; I don't think evolution is real. I think it's more likely that we 'evolve'/adjust as programmed in our DNA. I also don't think "Religion" is real. "Love the almighty god!" - Or he'll smite you... Right. ;] Religion feels like just another control method, just like how we use money in our current day society. Humans are effing dumb, savage, a-holes. A baby gets born into this world, not with unalienable rights to love, housing, food and care; if you don't have money; you don't have the right to live. I'm ashamed to be human. Edit; I also think there is an unjust 'split' between religion/science/spiritualism. Science doesn't know jack [bleeped!] yet; it's still called theories for the reason of there still not being [enough] conclusive evidence. There is a LACK of empathy in the world PARTLY (in my opinion, of course) because of this split. People are split between science and religion, and tons of sub groups. The same with extremist Muslims being called Terrorists and creating an even bigger worldwide split between subgroups of people and half of America (sigh, dummy muppets) running around beating up Middle Eastern people and telling "those sandn!ggers to eff off"... I just wish more people would see how the world is being played by constant distractions, stimulation and the feeeeeeeeding of propaganda. Cultural Capitalism... Grrrrr... "Democracy", Grrrrr. </stupid rant>
  9. I was hoping I could tag in on this. I've been getting 500's a lot for the past two weeks, but usually it doesn't bother me much. (That includes heliohost/net) Today however, halfway through a wordpress post, it crapped out on me again. Including the HelioHost website and the HelioNet forums. Stevie just crapped out. For a good five to six hours, even. I was almost continuously trying to get on here, and to keep editing my blogpost. No go, though. This was from about 4.15 'til around 9.45 - 10.00 PM my time (That being GMT +2 at the moment) My username is arjentm My site is at http://arjentm.heliohost.org/blog/ Edit: Holy [bleeped!] batman. The topicname is "500 internal..etc" so when I posted this and saw my tab reload... I held on to my heart for a minute! xD\ Edit2: Forgot my info! D: Edit3: Well; this is random.. "Oops! Google Chrome could not find arjentm.heliohost.org"

  11. Let's see how it goes ^^. Thanks again for the quick replies. On a saturday!
  12. Thank you :] I'll keep an eye on the topic.
  13. I tried registering using the standard setting: arjentm.heliohost.org
  14. I did try to register again, a bit before I made the post. A few minutes ago I got another error email: Thanks for the quick reply. :]
  15. Good evening! Earlier today I've tried to setup a new account, and received the "Hosting Account Installed!" email. However within the hour, it was followed by an email with the error "Unable to add group arjentm". I've run through the registration process again, and I will of course be patient - but as usual I am paranoid, so I am wondering if I somehow did something wrong, or if this is a common server error. ;p Thanks in advance! =]
