Agree with above comment. Consider publishing a single to itunes, the cost is actually pretty low. Find another band's website that you enjoy the look of and use it for an idea of how to design yours. Start posting on forums with your band's website and a preview on your website to hear your music.

I moved here after one of my hosts packages expired and required me to re-up. A quick google search later I found a myriad of free-hosting sites, but this one was high touted. I found the ftp process easy and had my website up quickly. I couldn't be happier.

I would believe that keeping all servers up and working would be in everyone's best interest.
