PenTester Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 I think wordpress is best. but I haven't use yet.
i7Grendel Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 I like PHP-Fusion. It has a good forum, downloads pages, news pages and a lot more good stuff out of the box. And there are a lot of extensions available. And I like the way it looks.
Guest xaav Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 This is really bad for those who use drupal: http://www.unleashedmind.com/en/blog/sun/the-drupal-crisis
i7Grendel Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 I'm running a secondary Drupal site, but now I may change it to Acquia Drupal. Thanks for the message.
claus Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 IMHO, any CMS, free or paid, is a plain pain in the lower rear. Hardly any of them produces validating sources, depending the DTD fed to them. Hence, I would go as far, as to say, CMS are for dummies, who don't even know how to spell mark-up. But that's just my personal opinion.
rgrace Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 They have their uses, some of the plugins would take months, possibly even years to figure out and code. So instead of recoding them, why not take some functional code and use it. It cuts a lot of time off of the development process.
maths222 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I use Drupal. I don't find it too hard to use, and I like its modularity.
rikkilambo Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 WordPress - My current website (www.totemangel.com) is built on top of WordPress. It is easier to use than the others, but there is definitely a learning curve. It sucks particularly when you want to integrate a shopping cart. I use WP e-Commerce but it is still a royal pain to get them both working together and looking good. Drupal - My previous work is built on Drupal. It is arguably more powerful, but it is too advanced for most people. Most of their available themes suck. If you care more about working well than looking good, use Drupal. Concrete5 - The company I work for uses C5 for its website backbone (www.geomagic.com). Concrete5 is modular, and it is quite a good choice for a website but not so much for a blog. Its built-in forum sucks, and its built-in everything sucks. It is also less popular so it has less community support.
Pasarel Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I prefer Wordpress. It's the easiest and fastest way to create user-friendly sites.
xwinuser Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I like Wordpress so far. Seen it around for years but just started using it since signing up for HelioHost. I have heard some good things about Drupal too but never used it.
