HGear Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Hello all/anyone, I am designing a site for a school competition and on one of the pages I would like to use images of the browser's logos on which we have tested the website and know it is compatible (see what I mean HERE) I've been trying to go through the press info for each individual browser, but I honestly just don't understand where to find the info and perhaps someone here knows -- am I legally allowed to use the browser logos as they currently appear on my website (It would not be violating copyright rules, I mean). I know for Opera it doesn't matter, but I'm not sure about the rest. & incase it matters, I got the logo images from w3schools If you know exactly why it is allowed/not allowed please let me know - part of the project rubric will be explaining exactly WHY we know we can use the images that aren't ours such as these logos Thank you!
Wizard Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Try this. Also, be very careful about hosting mission-critical sites here. I had a website hosted here back in high school that was my 10th grade thesis. The server went down the day I had to present. Keep backups.
