with today's living standards in america, it costs a lot to hire people to design and develop these processors.

AMD doesnt seem to have that problem.

 

On top of that, my physics teacher used to work for Intel doing just that, making a little more than a quarter of a million a year. There were only 200 people with that job description. Thats 50 mil a year. I just quoted 200 mil a year if they sell them at 60 a pop. If they sell the same 10 mil chips at 250 a peice, thats 2.5 billion dollars. Theyre paying their engineers a total of .05 billion. Wheres all the money going?
