Well then.

I'm sure most of you will have heard about Content Management Systems. They make changing, adding and managing content so much easier to do, and also help your Website look good without you having to difficultly hardcode a CSS design. As well as that, most of them are highly interactive and support commenting and much more.

But there are really a lot of them. Now who is using, used to use or will use a CMS? Which one is your favorite? And what features about a CMS are most important to you?

Personally, my favorite CMS is Drupal, which I'll use once I manage to register for an account - today I attempted that *after* the daily limit was reached, so I'll have to do that tomorrow. Anyway, you might want to know why I like it. Well:

1. There are many modules, themes and translations.

2. It is updated

3. It's one of the most secure ones there are.

4. It's free.

5. It's flexible.

So, what are yours?

I like wordpress for small blogs.

For actual CMS, joomla works best for me. It's free, open-source, many free templates available, plugins for various uses, etc. (PS - I'm not upselling it :D)

I suggest you just write your own. It's so much more effective and you have a lot more power over your website.

Not really... the amount of php that goes into one of these is pretty heavy. It usually takes dozens of coders and debuggers per release to create these.

Perhaps if you were building a generic one commercially, but if you are serious about your website I would build your own.

I've built a custom cms in 2 weeks time. It doesn't have all the options, just the ones I chose to add and I can edit and add more if I need to. I'm just saying, I recommend it.
