jjpriest25 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I'm thinking about getting a new phone here. It'll be a blackjack 2--on sale at wallmart for dirt cheap right now. I guess I'll be getting the unlimited data plan with it. So my question is, if I go on the web and download something to a microsd card(first of all, can I do this?) then move that card to the pc, will it transfer right? I guess it will if I get it on the card so can you download stuff like that to microsd cards?
Wizard Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 t-mobile is better. imho. And to answer your question: yes. basically speaking. If the phone can read the said file... well that's a different matter.
jjpriest25 Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 T-mobile might very well be better. But we already have an att family plan, plus att really big in this area and att to att calls don't cost minutes, so... That's cool though, that it should download it. It doesn't matter if the phone knows what it is or if it can read it..just as long as it can download it. It would be 17X faster to download it by 3g than dial-up,
Trippin Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 I used to work at Cingular just before it became AT&T. I know that with most phones you can hook a data cable up to your computer and use your phone as a modem (which would completely avoid the need to download the files on your phone and transfer them). I believe the term is called tethering. I would google it and see if you can come up with results on whether or not the Blackjack can be tethered. But I think this would be a better way, because you can browse the internet faster at home too
