Not really sure about their purpose, but I wanted to check out what kinds of widgets of that type exists. Kinda cool, eh? Like, IM widgets I mean... I bet many of you know of Meebome already, I remember I saw that widget at a blog I read, but apparently the guy put it down after a theme change. Personally I think a link to my rather quiet IRC channel that I'm pretty much always logged into is enough, the channel is displayed in Mibbit which seems to be compatible even to those old computer's at my school. It obviously isn't just Meebo for Instant PM widgets, from a google search I see that there's quite a few others aswell. If I was going to try an Instand PM widget I think I would be considering the WIMZI AIM widget or Gizmo5 - out of what they're promising.
