Jessie Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 So, how many times a day do your parents come to you to ask for your tech skills? Anything from "how do I get a txt message" to "help! The computer screen went blue!". We are growing up in a world where half of us know what we're doing and half of us don't, primarily the older generation. It is so taxing. Please feel free to chat and share techie stories and you experience.
1337Lufkin Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 My parents are pretty computer literate for old folks, but the worst of it comes at school in computer classes. Some people are just so dumb. Even kids my age. My teachers are always asking me to help somebody, and I can't possible fathom how they CAN'T understand it...
Tbone Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 happens to me all the time... someones always like how do i do this how do i do that. i agree with lufkin.. its worst in the computer classes at school.
karath Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Well, just put up with it... you know what the saying goes... ... umm... what saying you ask? None. Well, you have to work in the industry, it's just tough luck. It's kind of like being a doctor and a patient comes in and goes "I'm sick!"
Kyougi Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Either pretend to be stupid, tell others to go away, or suck it up.
Demi:Pulse Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Either pretend to be stupid, tell others to go away, or suck it up. You have to learn patience with these people. Not everyone is computer literate - deal with it.
Kyougi Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 I actually earn money on the side by offering to fix computers and tutor the computer illiterate. It's good money if you builld up a big enough reputation. MUCH better than those get-rich-fast schemes.
