AJKING Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 One of the most common questions that I get asked by web designers and web site owners is whether or not they should create all flash websites. The process of making the decision about flash web sites for SEO (search engine optimization) purposes is actually quite difficult, so I took the time to create a flow chart on whether or not you should create an all flash web site.
Asgard Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Uhm, according to Google Search, you forgot to add this: As you can see, it gets pretty complicated, but hopefully you can apply this flash website flowchart the next time you are trying to decide whether or not you should create a flash web site.
Kyougi Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 Thanks for the point-out, guys. Someone gets a nice juicy fine. But please, next time, use the report button. That's why it's there.
AJKING Posted July 17, 2007 Author Posted July 17, 2007 can i say for the last time i made that quote on the Google website! and its not copy and paste its a article from my computer from that website and not a copy and paste i linked the image to that one!
Demi:Pulse Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 No, that's a hotlink. If you're going to reference something, put a text link where you got it from - please and thank you. *will use the proper button next time*
naynesh Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 use flash its a creative way to attract attention
Marc. Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I wouldn't use an all flash webiste, for those on low-bandwith internet, the load time can be a killer.
naynesh Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 GO to chat sites and ask the people on there if you want a quicker way.
anton Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 personally, I hate most flash websites because they take forever just to load
Prash Posted December 5, 2007 Posted December 5, 2007 maybe a flash intro but thats about it Take a while to load for slower internets But, i guess the decision is mainkly done to the site owner! maybe a flash intro but thats about it Take a while to load for slower internets But, i guess the decision is mainly done to the site owner!
rct Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Flash slows down the users computer but can make websites look nice
teh silly Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Having a flash banner, nav, individual buttons, etc is actually quite nice ... as long as you can feasibly navigate the site without them. Also, keep in mind some people *still* don't have flash and don't want to download it. Flash is very useful for movies and whatnot, but once again, think of who you are catering to. Flash is can be very nice when used tastefully and in moderation, but personally, I won't take the time to develop flash-based web apps unless I get paid a ton for it.
