Kyougi Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 It's been around for a good time, so I think that more people prefer Firefox Opera's been around for a lot longer time, back in the days of Netscape. The only things I have against Firefox is that: 1) It uses the bloated Gecko engine 2) Extensions cause memory leaks extremely easy 3) Mozilla claims it to be free, but enforces their trademark harshly. Firefox is not truely free.
karath Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 No, but with Opera before, you had to pay money to use it as stated in PC User.
Kyougi Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 No, but with Opera before, you had to pay money to use it as stated in PC User. You could use the free ad-sponsored Opera since versions 5.0 and up. There were always plenty of promotions that gave away free Opera if you hung around.
Pythonet Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Safari is in beta version and i agree with Kiyougi that it oftens randomly crashes, it prefer internet explorer as its interface is really good and is also good at security.
naynesh Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I think it is quite good the safari its quick and also its on the iphone and the ipod touch. I thikn its the best i also think that the windows one is pretty good.
mushroomz Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 I dunno if it's just me or not, but I really find the "glass" theme from Apple looks really hideous. I prefer Firefox and sometimes I use Opera (its also good in its own right). I would be using Opera, but I like the little things about Firefox, like how I am able to drag a highlighted text and URL into a new tab icon, and it will automatically do a query for it.
jayant Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 You cant substitute firefox with any one .. i m using it..
