djzebbie Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 How come on the front page of the forum the A&E section is said to have 224 topics -- but I only see two? Just out of curiosity.
anush Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Don't post silly topics you Newbie , any way you can even sign in invisible, and 224 topics has nothing to do with 2 two online. Welcome to helionet community.
djzebbie Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 Hi anush, Lol, and thank you for welcoming me here. What I was referring to was that on the front page of the forum, at http://www.helionet.org/index/, there are 224 (now 225, counting this one) topics (or threads) listed in this particular forum: http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/6034/heliohostboardannotated.png (I left it as a link because the screenshot is big.) But in this (sub)forum, Arts & Entertainment itself (http://www.helionet.org/index/forum/29-art-and-entertainment/), there are (were) only two topics (or threads), three counting this one: http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/732/heliohostaeannotated.png I was not referring to just two users being online. The two other topics (or threads) are about someone's poetry and a question about TV shows at the BBC. I wouldn't think 224 topics/threads (or 225, in this case) would fit on a single page, as is highlighted in the second screenshot. Just wondering what may have happened to the 222 other topics (or threads). Not especially important, just wondering out of curiosity, as it seems to be a mystery. Maybe those topics/threads were from users who no longer exist here and were deleted? Still liking my experience here so far, though -- just now signed up for a hosting account. Thanks again for welcoming me... even though I am still a newbie.
anush Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 oh, sorry djzebbie, i think it is because the admins have changed the permission of those topics, or those must have been deleted and the forum system may have failed to update the database. any way you noticed it, now the admins will have a look. Once again welcome to the community,

Ice IT Support Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 It would appear that when HelioNet was re-organized years ago many of these topics were deleted.
