npl Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 How do I include image in a post excerpt in wordpress? I don't want a small thumbnail. When ever I include a image into a post it never makes it into the post excerpt on my home page. Any idea how to change that for my site http://borealtrek.com?
xwinuser Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 hmm I see where the main image is and yes I understand what an excerpt is but not 100% sure about the question. Where do the excerpts show up?When someone comments?
npl Posted December 5, 2011 Author Posted December 5, 2011 The excerpt is the summary of the post (Look below). I need a full size image or any type of media for that matter, to show up in there and It can't be that tiny thumbnail on the left. For whatever reason when I type up the post and go to publish no image or video shows up there even if I included one.
Guest xaav Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 To do this, you will need to edit the code of the theme. However, if you did do this, it seems like it would mess up the layout of your page.
xwinuser Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Technically if you have a full size image then its not really an excerpt. But if you are not even getting a thumbnail then that would be a problem. It does sound like it is a feature (or lack of feature) of the theme.
npl Posted December 6, 2011 Author Posted December 6, 2011 Thanks for the help. I guess I will consult the creator of the theme.
