• In Port field type "1342"
• In Protocol dropdown select "SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol"
• In Logon Type dropdown select "Normal"
• In User field type your cPanel username
• In Password field type your cPanel password
• Click Connect
• Approve the remote server key, and check the box to not ask you about this server again.

 

 

Ok so the port is 1342, different from johnny i hoped it was the same..thats why on tommy failed also the ssh method. Thanks

That was the old Johnny. That's long gone. The New Johnny also crashed and this time around backups are not being offered.

I can access to files by cpanel-filemanager but from filezilla i login successfully but it dont show folders, i also downloaded the config.xml for filezilla maded by cpanel but its the same.

How can i fix this?

 

Can't u mount the HD from another one?

That's essentially what we're doing. It's tricky though because the nearest admin to Stevie is over 1600 miles away.

Can't u mount /tmp /opt /root and other folders that write when the os i used in another hd, for powerup the server in a safety "only read sectors mode" on the damaged one?
I use a software-raid solution on my pc, not temporary/user folders on SSD and them on HD, it a simply modification of fstab with a mount of folders in other partitions/drivers then make a shortcut file in the real position that point to the mount one. I successfully load OS from SSD and tmp user opt from HD, optimal for me for not pay big SSD

 

To reduce the chance of further file loss I will be booting Stevie up and trying to salvage as much data as possible all at once. The more times we boot him and the longer we leave him on the more likely it is for the hard drive to get even more corrupted. This is a list of everything I will attempt to recover during the next boot.

I was on Stevie with my external domain linked by dns (my new account [nickname forum] without "2" plus .cf)

Now im on johnny but i cant use my domain .cf because it exist already in the dns cluster.

Can you remove it pls? So i can manage it from johnny while im waiting for stevie return.
