pinonlin
Hi, I'm having problems with my domain. My URL redirects to something called brody.heliohost.org. I have attached an image of this. Because of this I can not install SSL, because this redirection happens with https://. I need http:// to be there to validate the site ownership. Event, I added a test index.php file to test, it also doesn't show. Please check and help me. Thank you.
Krydos
Did you change your nameservers recently? I'm seeing some DNS servers in the world showing the wrong settings. https://dnschecker.org/#NS/pinbank.live
pinonlin
yes. They were on name.com and using name.com NS. So I changed to ns2.heliohost.org and ns1.heliohost.org. Is this wrong?
Krydos
The NS records ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org are correct. The reason you're seeing the "unusual redirect" as you call it is because you had ns1.heliohost.org saved as an A record in name.com dns system. This is incorrect, but now that you've switched to our nameservers it should fix itself in time. DNS servers utilize caching to reduce load and increase speed. This means that a DNS server can keep sending out the old information sometimes as long as 48 hours after you change your NS records. The only solution is to be patient and wait for the old cached information to expire. You can check that link I posted above to see if any of those dns servers have the old info cached still. When they all say ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org instead of name.com you're good to go.
