[Inactive] SFTP Port does not respond

Hello,

continues to experience problems when using FTP from the ricky server in FileZilla, showing the following error message:

Error: Received unexpected end-of-file from SFTP server
Error: Could not connect to the server

Uninstall the client, reinstall it and persist, try another client and the same error message, port 1312 was allowed from the antivirus in firewall mode, and nothing. Also by normal ftp the same error continues

The problem lies from the server.

Any help or solution?

Thank you

Considering the complaints were across different servers and parts of the world, I'd say bad luck. This user is on Ricky and located in Peru. The other was on Tommy and connecting from Spain.

Plain (insecure) FTP on port 21 is always an option and usually works where SFTP will not. FTP over TLS is not supported (though despite the fact we say that, I use it all the time on Tommy...I'm not sure why my account works when most others don't).

Command MLSD
Error Connection exceeded the timeout after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error Error retrieving directory listing

That is the final message of FileZilla when running in normal ftp mode.

Because of ftp and ftp there are connection errors

One of the users who was having SFTP issues disabled his firewall and it started working. The odd thing was the firewall would let port 1342 work on the portquiz site, but would block port 1342 when filezilla tried to use it. Regular FTP on port 21 wasn't working for him either. It's possible these people all use that same firewall, and there was a recent change in the software.
