wolstech
Tommy and Ricky have an option labeled “multiPHP manager” in cpanel. It’s towards the bottom under “Software”. You can specify php versions for each domain and subdomain you have. The default is 5.6 I believe on both servers. On Johnny, you can’t change the version as only 5.6 is offered on that server. Luigi123
Moved to Questions. Also, how come Johnny doesnt have multiPHP manager? Can he have the same like Ricky and Tommy?
wolstech
Johnny has an old version of cPanel, CentOS and EasyApache 3, all of which don’t support it. Johnny is permanently stuck in the past because cPanel dropped support for Ruby On Rails in newer versions of cPanel. You can’t download old versions of cPanel either, so if Johnny is ever updated or becomes damaged beyond repair, we’ll be forced to discontinue RoR support until we develop our own custom solution to run it on newer cPanel. Krydos has looked into this, but I haven’t heard anything lately on where progress on that stands.
Krydos
I have a functional Ruby on Rails running on Ricky http://krydos1.heliohost.org/testror/ So, I guess we could upgrade Johnny now as long as root admins are willing to install each RoR application manually...
