Hi, Since I saw "SSL/TLS Manager" in my Cpanel account, I took a free non commercial SSL certificate from StartSSL. After I added this certificate, I when I connect to my website, I am getting error: (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long) And StartSSL forum says its because SSL is not enabled[1] Is it possible to get it enabled with heliohost for free ? I have an active account, at the moment of setup, I chose the Free Stevie option, & I think the $12 usd setup fee is for the SSL certificate (but I already have one). I tried to enable it by installing the certificate in my free account, but no results. My site is accessible via HTTPS through CloudFlare Flexible SSL option, but I want a HTTPS connection with the Strict SSL option (or Full SSL at least), that requires an successful HTTPS connection on HelioHost Hosting. So, the question is: It's possible enable an SSL connection on Free Stevie accounts for free (on Stevie server, not on CloudFlare) if I already have the SSL certificate? Thanks in advance.

I have been using the hosting for a long time now, and HelioHost is undoubtedly my favourite free hosting. But the missing thing is https on almost all the pages. Why don't you people enable CloudFlare Free throughout? It gives at least a basic SSL protection. Also, the cpanel logins and all the credentials are passed over http which is not secure. I understand that the free hosting is supposed to be used for testing purposes and not for actual websites, but when you can have a valid CloudFlare certificate for free, why not use it?

Hi Heliohost / Helionet I would like to request for heliohost to update cPanel to 11.38 and above. The reason is simple : Server Name Indication (SNI). This will allow many people to use SSL on shared ip addresses , but only on modern addresses. Still , this is a good feature to talk about. I hope the mods will consider it . Thank you! Hello, I think the I've succesfully installed the Comodo SSL Certificate, at least the SSl Manager accepted it. However in chrome i get: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR, seamonkey reports ssl error rx record too long . I could be wrong but I think what may have happened is that originally i had a Cert on azseniorservices.com, which I deleted as I purchased a cert from Comodo BUT this time I requested a cert for www.azseniorservices.com ......I'm not sure, but I think the name of the host has to be changed on the apache serverside too. I forgot about that (no emoticon for slapping forhead! ) 1. Could you please update Host file name to reflect SSL host www.azseniorservices.com NOT azseniorservices.com 2. I read somewhere where you have to use a dedicated IP address, and I was wondering if my website has one? I pinged it in Command Prompt(on Windows) and the same IP came up but not in the browser. My website isn't finished(just basically white with text right now) but I wanted to secure it before I started building onto it, but If my website is not dedicated IP, would I be allowed to request one? Hello, I thought I had installed SSL Cert ok but Krydos cant see it. I used the cPanel SSL manager and copy and pasted the cert per instruction. Still cant get it working. Krydos helped me, but still no joy. He asked that I PM him, but I cant seem to be able to PM. I've tried and tried, and am simply hair pulling now. Could someone please install the Comodo cert for me to get this thing running please? The cert is on the Stevie SSL, azseniorservices.com in folder Krydos.
